Role Summary

This remote contract opportunity is for an Investor who will evaluate and support initiatives that fit the organization’s mission. The position focuses on mission-aligned funding decisions, combining financial judgment with social impact awareness. This role is best suited to someone who values ethical decision-making and is interested in work that can influence long-term societal outcomes.

What You Will Do

• Assess potential investment opportunities and determine how well they align with the organization’s goals.
• Carry out financial and impact assessments to understand risk, expected return, and social value.
• Prepare clear summaries, reports, and recommendations for leadership.
• Track the progress of funded projects and compare results with agreed performance measures.
• Recommend changes where needed to improve effectiveness and overall outcomes.
• Work with internal teams and outside partners to help direct resources toward sustainable, high-impact initiatives.

Qualifications

• Hands-on background in investment analysis, portfolio oversight, or impact investing, with the ability to evaluate risk, return, and social outcomes.
• Strong capability in financial modelling, data interpretation, and report preparation using standard analytical tools and software.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, with the ability to explain complex ideas to varied audiences.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment, handle several priorities at once, and stay on schedule in a contract role.
• Exposure to global governance, sustainability, or social impact frameworks is an advantage.
• A bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, or a similar discipline is expected; advanced qualifications or certifications such as CFA or CAIA are beneficial.
• A strong commitment to ethical investing and alignment with the organization’s mission of peace, cooperation, and long-term societal benefit.
