Job Summary
- Ensure compliance in operational record keeping and update inventory data in real time.
- Organize and execute comprehensive inventory audits to assess compliance levels.
- Track Material Requirement Plans for spare parts and production consumables.
- Identify potential risks related to inventory and propose preventive measures.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise all inventory transactions, maintain accurate records, and assess compliance.
- Develop and uphold an effective inventory control system that ensures real-time transaction updates.
- Detect and resolve discrepancies or variances in inventory by investigating causes and applying corrective actions.
- Collaborate with user departments to reconcile inventory records, focusing on critical and insurance parts.
- Analyze inventory performance metrics such as turnover rates, stock levels, and obsolete or surplus items.
- Provide current stock information and ordering justification.
- Alert the Head of Store to any anomalies in inventory records and assist in reconciliation.
Education and Experience
- BSc or HND degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or Accounting.
- Two to three years’ experience in warehouse and inventory management within the manufacturing sector.
- Familiarity with SAP-MM module for inventory management is an advantage.
Skills and Competencies
- Proven experience in inventory control and valuation.
- Strong people skills and results-oriented mindset.
- Knowledgeable in ERP systems, especially SAP MM, and proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Comprehensive understanding of stock handling procedures.
