Primary Responsibilities

  • Knowledge of applicable local standards, statutory, and regulatory requirements.
  • Competency in using relevant software tools and I&C-specific engineering applications.
  • Design experience with DCS, ESD, Foundation Fieldbus, FF, SCADA, telecommunications and Fire & Gas systems.
  • Familiarity with international codes, SHELL DEPs, and BP recommended practices.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, valve and flow element sizing calculations.
  • Experience with Intools, SPI and SIL studies, and contributing to control and shutdown narratives is advantageous.

Industry Experience

  • At least 8 years’ experience in Instrumentation & Control engineering in oil and gas projects for offshore and onshore sectors.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of multi-disciplinary engineering projects within similar industries.

Educational Qualifications and Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation or Electronics Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Mandatory MME (Ministry of Municipality and Environment) engineering accreditation, or willingness to obtain it during probation.
  • Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status or active pursuit is preferred.
  • Functional Safety Engineering certification from TUV or EXIDA is a desirable asset.
