Primary Responsibilities

• Execute routine engineering, design, and analysis tasks using current technology, standards, and templates, while adhering to company procedures and seeking process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with accepted engineering and design practices, legal regulations, and client specifications.
• Support standardization efforts for equipment specifications, drawings, and documentation templates.
• Contribute to developing understanding of technical knowledge, regulatory requirements, and customer needs within legal frameworks.
• Apply local and international standards to maintain technical excellence and participate in peer reviews and quality checks.
• Ensure engineering practices for Instrumentation and Control (I&C) design comply with industry onshore and offshore standards.
• Prepare detailed design specifications for I&C works.

Project Execution and Collaboration

• Understand scope, cost, and timeline requirements; assist teams to meet targets and coordinate across disciplines for project success.
• Support management of project changes and progress, collaborating with project management to address issues affecting completion or profitability.
• Lead and participate in quality assurance activities, including squad checking and recommending improvements.
• Provide expert technical support within the discipline team and liaise effectively with project stakeholders.
• Coordinate design review and approval processes related to client requirements and specifications.

Project Deliverables

• Collect data and prepare engineering studies, analyses, and calculations.
• Identify technical challenges, explore alternative solutions, weigh pros and cons, and provide recommendations through formal project documents.
• Produce final project documentation incorporating all relevant information and secure customer approvals.
• Deliver discipline-specific engineering services such as scope change identification, contributing to studies and analyses, preparing detailed designs, specifications, calculations and reports, and supporting procurement, construction, and commissioning activities.

• Apply the company’s Quality Assurance systems rigorously.
• Take personal responsibility for safety by following Occupational Health & Safety guidelines.
• Integrate HSE considerations into the design process, focusing on process safety and adopting best practices.
• Demonstrate a visible and active commitment to HSE management in project environments.

Technical Expertise

• Intermediate knowledge of industry regulations, codes, and standards.
• Experience in brownfield and asset services projects and contracts.
• Strong practical engineering skills delivering precise, timely work for both Worley and clients.
• Solid understanding of Instrumentation & Control fundamentals and general awareness of other disciplines.
• Knowledge of applicable local standards, statutory, and regulatory requirements.
• Competency in using relevant software tools and I&C-specific engineering applications.
• Design experience with DCS, ESD, Foundation Fieldbus, FF, SCADA, telecommunications and Fire & Gas systems.
• Familiarity with international codes, SHELL DEPs, and BP recommended practices.
• Proficiency in MS Office, valve and flow element sizing calculations.
• Experience with Intools, SPI and SIL studies, and contributing to control and shutdown narratives is advantageous.

Industry Experience

• At least 8 years’ experience in Instrumentation & Control engineering in oil and gas projects for offshore and onshore sectors.
• Comprehensive knowledge of multi-disciplinary engineering projects within similar industries.

Educational Qualifications and Certifications

• Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation or Electronics Engineering from an accredited university.
• Mandatory MME (Ministry of Municipality and Environment) engineering accreditation, or willingness to obtain it during probation.
• Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status or active pursuit is preferred.
• Functional Safety Engineering certification from TUV or EXIDA is a desirable asset.

• Familiarity with instrument sizing tools, including control valve sizing, orifice sizing, voltage drop calculations, pneumatic instrument air consumption, power consumption, and heat dissipation.
