Import & Export (I&E) Documentation Specialist

Overview

KLEESOFT RW LIMITED is seeking a meticulous and proactive Import & Export (I&E) Documentation Specialist based in Kigali, Rwanda. The role involves managing all import and export documents, ensuring strict adherence to customs regulations and internal policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Compile, verify, and handle all documentation related to imports and exports.
• Liaise with customs clearing agents, freight forwarders, and governmental authorities to facilitate clearance processes.
• Ensure compliance with Rwanda Customs requirements, RRA regulations, and applicable international trade laws.
• Monitor shipment progress and deliver timely updates to relevant departments.
• Keep precise records of shipping and related documents.
• Address and resolve any discrepancies or customs-related challenges without delay.
• Collaborate closely with procurement, logistics, warehousing, and finance departments to ensure uninterrupted cargo flow.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, Business Administration, or related discipline.
• At least two years of practical experience handling import/export documentation.
• Strong understanding of customs procedures, shipping documentation, and international trade regulations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with ERP systems is advantageous.
• Excellent organizational skills combined with effective communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Demonstrated integrity, accuracy, and resilience in high-pressure environments.
