Role Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Human Resources Manager located on-site in Port Harcourt, responsible for directing comprehensive HR operations. This includes talent acquisition, onboarding, performance evaluation, employee engagement, and organizational growth initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and enforce HR policies and procedures ensuring adherence to relevant labour laws and company standards.
- Manage recruitment processes, onboarding programs, and workforce planning to secure top talent.
- Lead performance management and employee development activities to promote a high-performance environment.
- Collaborate with finance on payroll processing, benefits administration, leave management, and attendance tracking.
- Maintain precise HR documentation and records, advising leadership on employee relations and workplace conflicts.
- Drive projects aimed at enhancing employee satisfaction, retention, and organizational culture.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, Psychology, or a similar discipline.
- Professional HR certifications such as CIPM, SHRM, or HRCI are advantageous.
- Between 3 to 5 years of progressive HR experience, ideally within the real estate or related sectors like construction or property development.
- In-depth knowledge of recruitment, onboarding, performance management, succession planning, and organizational development.
- Strong understanding of Nigerian labour legislation, compliance, and disciplinary processes.
- Experience handling payroll, benefits, leave policies, and attendance systems.
- Proficiency with HRIS software and Microsoft Office suite.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, conflict resolution skills coupled with strong organizational capabilities and confidentiality standards.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and perform efficiently in fast-paced settings.
