Human Resources Generalist

Role Overview

The Human Resources Generalist position at Spectrum plays a crucial role in promoting positive employee relations while aligning organizational priorities. This role is instrumental in fostering fairness within the workplace and supports leadership in making impactful talent management decisions that contribute to Spectrum's ongoing success. The position requires lawful work eligibility in the United States without need for employment-based immigration sponsorship, now or in the future.

Key Responsibilities

• Consistently implement and communicate Spectrum's policies and procedural updates within assigned departments.
• Provide guidance and counsel to employees regarding workplace conflicts, performance issues, dispute resolutions, employee relations, and conduct investigations when necessary.
• Manage leave of absence initiatives, coordinate employee accommodations, and oversee safety and workers' compensation programs.
• Lead employee benefits enrollment sessions and conduct training for both employees and supervisors on company policies, benefits plans, and preventive measures.
• Maintain precise HRIS data and payroll records for assigned employee groups, perform regular audits, and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Support bonus and merit compensation programs, contribute to reporting efforts, participate in annual budget planning, and engage in HR committee projects.

Working Environment

This role is primarily office-based with occasional travel requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• A minimum of two years of experience as a Human Resources Generalist.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to engage effectively at all organizational levels.
• Demonstrated professionalism in managing confidential information and public interactions.
• Strong decision-making, problem-solving abilities, and capacity to perform well under pressure.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, organize work efficiently, and exhibit proactiveness.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment legislation, including wage and hour regulations.
• Understanding of staffing processes, employment practices, and employee relations protocols.
• Experience with consultative approaches, coaching, and analytical problem-solving.

Preferred Qualifications

• Possession of professional HR certifications, such as PHR or SPHR.
• Familiarity with telecommunications products and services.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
