Role overview
This is a fully remote Human Resources Assistant position supporting day-to-day HR operations for a distributed team. The focus of the role is on keeping employee information accurate, helping coordinate onboarding and offboarding, and making sure routine HR tasks are completed efficiently and in line with internal policies.
You will work with sensitive employee data, maintain organized HR systems, and assist with administrative processes that help create a smooth employee experience. Key responsibilities
- Update and maintain employee information in HR platforms with a high level of accuracy and completeness.
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding steps, including preparing documents and arranging schedules.
- Create and format HR paperwork such as employment contracts, letters, and internal notices.
- Handle basic HR questions and route requests to the correct team member when needed.
- Follow HR rules, document-control practices, and privacy requirements.
- Keep digital HR records well-organized using consistent naming and filing methods.
- Track HR workflows, spot delays or missing items, and flag issues for escalation.
- Maintain trackers and share progress updates on open tasks and pending items.
- Support audit preparation by making sure required documents are complete and easy to retrieve.
