Housekeeper

About the Role

This position is based at a luxury private care home in a wealthy suburb of Glasgow, providing accommodation for up to 80 residents and delivering residential, dementia, nursing, and respite care. The Housekeeper plays an essential role in upholding cleanliness, safety, and a welcoming atmosphere throughout the facility while assisting with laundry operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness in resident rooms, bathrooms, and communal spaces to high hygiene and presentation standards.
• Support laundry tasks including washing, drying, ironing, and returning clothing carefully, ensuring all items are accurately labeled.
• Adhere to infection control, health and safety, and housekeeping protocols for safe and effective task completion.
• Collaborate with the wider care team to contribute to an organized and comfortable environment promoting residents’ dignity and wellbeing.

Candidate Profile

• Demonstrates a positive, dependable attitude.
• Possesses strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Capable of working independently and cooperatively within a team.
• Good communication abilities.
• Basic understanding of hygiene and infection control is advantageous.
• Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not mandatory.

Employment Details

• Hourly pay rate of £12.71.
• Options for full-time and part-time contracts available.
• Paid PVG scheme enrollment.
• Pension entitlement and uniform provided.
• Entitlement to 5.6 weeks of annual leave based on full-time employment.
