About the Role

Join the London Borough of Hillingdon as a Homelessness Team Manager, leading essential front-line services within the Housing Needs & Homelessness department. You will oversee various specialized teams such as Families, Move-On, Singles, Domestic Abuse, Resettlement, and Housing Advice.

This key operational leadership position involves managing service demand, enhancing performance, and overseeing complex casework. You will champion the delivery of transformation initiatives and Medium Term Financial Strategy (MTFS) goals, ensuring consistent, high-quality, resident-oriented services across the homelessness sector.

A fast-paced and high-demand environment awaits, where your leadership will directly impact statutory homelessness services, focusing on strong performance and positive resident outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership across prevention, front door services, families, single homelessness, move-on pathways, and specialist areas including domestic abuse and resettlement.
  • Develop and implement specialist knowledge tailored to diverse cohorts like singles, domestic abuse survivors, and clients with complex needs.
  • Ensure all decisions are lawful, consistent, and uphold quality standards throughout the service.
  • Build and maintain high-performing teams while fostering a culture centered on accountability and performance excellence.
  • Manage caseloads, workflows, and key target achievements effectively.
  • Oversee the handling of complex and high-risk cases with careful supervision.
  • Utilize data analytics, insights, and performance metrics to drive continuous service improvements.
  • Collaborate with partners to provide effective interventions aimed at preventing and alleviating homelessness for residents.
