Role Overview
The position of Home Care Provider is a full-time, on-site role located in Accra. The individual will deliver direct, individualized care within clients’ homes, assisting with various personal care needs such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support. Additional duties include helping with household chores, preparing meals, providing medication reminders, and observing clients’ health, reporting any changes to supervisors or family members. The provider will also offer companionship, engage clients in suitable activities, and promote safety and independence. The role demands punctuality, accurate care documentation, and strict adherence to company policies and client care plans.
Qualifications and Skills
- Experience in caregiving or home care settings, supporting clients in residential environments.
- Proficient in personal care tasks including hygiene assistance, mobility support, and daily living aid.
- Knowledge of elder care principles and respectful assistance tailored to older adults.
- Strong interpersonal communication, empathy, and patience when interacting with clients and families.
- Additional qualifications such as previous home or community-based care experience, basic first aid certification, reliability in following care protocols, and ability to work independently are advantageous.
- Completion of relevant caregiver training or certifications and fluency in local Accra languages are considered beneficial.
