Role Overview

At Devoted Studios, we are evolving rapidly in a dynamic field. The Head of Operations role is pivotal in building the operational framework and systems that will enable the company to scale efficiently and with discipline under the CEO’s direction. This leadership role requires managing cross-department initiatives, international expansion, policy design, tool and infrastructure development, and leading foundational teams such as Team Success, IT, and Recruitment.

Key Duties

• Own and deliver the CEO’s multi-departmental initiatives by setting plans, timelines, and ensuring successful, timely execution.
• Lead operational projects including international expansion, compliance, insurance, IT infrastructure, office setups, policy development, and AI integration programs.
• Collaborate with leadership across Production, Finance, Legal, Business Development, Team Success, IT, and Recruitment to align priorities and meet shared objectives.
• Maintain proactive and transparent reporting mechanisms for operational projects, including progress updates and milestone tracking.
• Directly oversee Team Success, IT, and Recruitment teams by providing strategic direction, mentoring team leaders, and fostering performance and company culture.
• Set and monitor operational KPIs ensuring each function is effectively staffed, scalable, and integrated with overall company operations.
• Support Team Success in cultivating positive culture, employee engagement, lifecycle management, and performance frameworks.
• Guide IT in delivering stable infrastructure, cybersecurity, hardware/software provisioning, and scalable support services.
• Manage Recruitment to efficiently fulfill hiring plans with a positive candidate experience at pace.
• Manage company-wide operational governance and ensure international compliance with employment, contractor, tax, and legal standards in all operating regions.
• Work with Legal, Finance, and HR to align processes with security, legal, and compliance requirements across geographies.
• Anticipate and prepare for operational needs related to company expansion and new geographies.
• Establish and maintain operational KPIs, dashboards, reporting cadence, quarterly reviews, and overall operational rhythms for scalability.
• Lead the execution of quarterly company commitments and cross-functional priorities among leadership.
• Drive adoption of AI tools across operations including hiring, IT support, compliance, reporting, and knowledge management.
• Assess emerging AI technologies for potential operational efficiencies and lead thoughtful AI integration.
• Collaborate with technical leaders on AI initiatives and model AI-forward operational habits to encourage experimentation and innovation.

Candidate Requirements

• 8 to 15 years of leadership experience in operations within a services, co-development, or fast-growth tech environment.
• Proven success managing large, cross-functional programs with a focus on timely delivery and outcomes under pressure.
• Experience managing HR (Team Success), IT, and Recruitment teams or similar people management responsibilities.
• Strong ability to align cross-functional areas including Legal, Finance, HR, IT, and Production around shared operational initiatives.
• Experience overseeing international operations covering employment structures, contractor compliance, and multi-country frameworks.
• Technically curious with hands-on use of AI tools in operational contexts and a history of AI adoption leadership.
• Excellent operational reporting skills and clear communication with executive teams.
• Comfortable working in a rapidly moving, high-growth service-oriented company.
