Role Overview

This is a full-time remote position for a Graduate Software Engineer who will participate in the design, development, testing, and upkeep of software components under senior engineers' mentorship. Core tasks involve feature implementation, bug fixing, producing clean and maintainable code, engaging in code reviews, and supporting backend web services and APIs. Collaboration with product and engineering teams, documenting technical implementations, and enhancing system performance, reliability, and scalability are integral to the role. Candidates should be eager to learn quickly, adhere to industry best practices, and continuously evolve their technical and professional skills.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of core Computer Science concepts such as data structures, algorithms, and fundamental software engineering principles.
• Proficient in at least one modern programming language like Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript, and comfortable with Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
• Familiar with software development workflows including version control, testing, debugging, and documentation.
• Experience or exposure to backend web development technologies such as APIs, databases, and server-side frameworks is advantageous.
• Holds a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a comparable technical discipline, or has equivalent practical experience.
• Capable of effective communication and proactive collaboration within a remote and distributed team setup.
• Demonstrates enthusiasm for acquiring new technologies, tools, and methods, and commits to crafting high-quality, maintainable code.
• Understanding of agile or iterative development methodologies and experience with Git or similar version control tools is beneficial.
