Your Opportunity

We are seeking a General Labourer to support day-to-day operations at our metals recycling facility in Martensville, Saskatchewan. This role involves sorting and processing metals, maintaining a safe workplace, and working collaboratively to ensure efficient operations.

Team Environment and Work Schedule

You will join a team focused on safety, teamwork, and ongoing learning. The position involves hands-on tasks including operating various equipment and offers opportunities for skill development and career advancement. This full-time role operates Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, with additional overtime and some Saturday shifts as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Sort non-ferrous materials, cut them to required sizes, and prepare for packaging.
• Adhere strictly to all SECURE safety policies and procedures.
• Participate actively in safety meetings such as daily tailgates and last-minute risk assessments.
• Demonstrate willingness to receive training for multiple roles within the facility.
• Operate and understand the use of power and small tools.
• Conduct pre-operation checks on equipment to ensure functionality.
• Maintain equipment cleanliness, lubrication, and fuel levels, and perform general housekeeping on site.
• Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Experience with sorting non-ferrous materials, cutting, and packaging.
• Strong adherence to workplace safety standards and procedures.
• Engagement in safety meetings and risk assessments.
• Flexibility to be cross-trained on various tasks.
• Proficient in handling power tools and small equipment.
• Capability to perform equipment inspections prior to use.
• Ability to maintain cleanliness and service equipment effectively.
• Capable of performing miscellaneous responsibilities as needed.
