Fire Alarm Technician

About the Role

Spectra7 HR Solutions and Consultancy is hiring a Fire Alarm Technician to handle installation, configuration, and commissioning of fire alarm systems across various project sites including Thane, Bhiwandi, and Kalyan. This position operates under third-party payroll arrangements and involves hands-on technical work with electrical and safety equipment related to fire alarm systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and set up fire alarm systems at client locations according to project requirements.
• Interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and layout plans accurately.
• Perform cable laying, wiring tasks, installation of devices such as smoke and heat detectors, manual call points, fire alarm control panels, and hooters.
• Conduct system testing, carry out fault identification and repairs to ensure system functionality.
• Comply with safety standards and project specifications during all installations.
• Collaborate with site engineers and supervisors to meet project deadlines.
• Prepare detailed installation and service reports.
• Respond to preventive maintenance and emergency breakdown calls as needed.

Qualifications and Experience

• ITI Electrician certificate or Diploma in Electrical Engineering required.
• Minimum of one year of practical experience in fire alarm system installation and commissioning.

Skill Requirements

• Strong knowledge and understanding of fire alarm systems including installation procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and wiring schematics.
• Good grasp of electrical safety protocols.
• Basic troubleshooting and fault-finding capability.
• Willingness and flexibility to travel to different project sites.
• Preferred experience with both conventional and addressable fire alarm systems is advantageous.
• Familiarity with major brands like Honeywell, Siemens, Bosch, Notifier, Agni, Edwards, or equivalents is a plus.

Additional Information

The employment is based on third-party payroll with monthly remuneration in the range of 20,000 to 25,000 INR. The work location is project-dependent within the Mumbai region, primarily in Thane, Bhiwandi, and Kalyan areas.
