Fire Alarm Project Manager

About the Role

Alpha Fire Ltd is expanding and seeks a seasoned Fire Alarm Project Manager to oversee fire alarm system projects from initiation through to completion. This role involves close collaboration with clients, contractors, and installation teams to ensure smooth project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple fire alarm installation projects from award stage to final completion.
• Coordinate all stages including design, procurement, programming, installation, commissioning, and handover processes.
• Engage with clients, consultants, main contractors, and regulatory bodies to maintain effective communication and compliance.
• Develop project timelines, track budgets, and ensure timely delivery of projects.
• Supervise subcontractors and internal technical teams.
• Ensure all work adheres to NZS 4512 standards and New Zealand Building Code requirements.
• Participate in site meetings and provide regular updates on project progress.
• Prepare necessary project documents including variations and completion certificates.

Candidate Profile

• Proven experience managing commercial fire alarm installation projects.
• Solid knowledge of New Zealand fire alarm systems and NZS 4512 compliance standards.
• Excellent organisational abilities and strong communication skills.
• Capacity to handle multiple projects concurrently.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Procore or equivalent project management tools is advantageous.
• Valid New Zealand driver's licence and right to work in NZ.
