Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the daily finance operations including supervision of the finance team.
- Manage and ensure timely monthly closing of management accounts for the group and conduct variance analyses of revenue, expenses, and balance sheet items.
- Review consolidated monthly group accounts thoroughly.
- Maintain and manage cash flow requirements across all operating entities within the group.
- Handle annual budgeting processes along with quarterly forecasting.
- Ensure compliance and reporting of income tax, withholding tax, and GST for the group of companies.
- Prepare and review quarterly board papers and public results announcements for release on SGX-ST.
- Oversee preparation and review of annual statutory financial statements following Singapore Financial Reporting Standards and relevant regulations.
- Supervise submission of the REIT Manager's quarterly and annual returns to the Monetary Authority of Singapore.
- Develop and uphold proper internal control policies, corporate governance standards, and procedures as needed.
- Support financial and tax due diligence and planning for prospective investments.
- Assist in preparing and reviewing SGX announcements and unitholder circulars, including financial effects proformas for equity fund raising and acquisition/merger proposals.
- Coordinate with external auditors, trustees, legal and tax advisors, and the unit registrar on related matters.
- Liaise across departments such as Real Estate, Capital Markets, Investor Relations, and Compliance for operational issues.
- Promote the use of approved AI and automation technologies in finance workflows to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and decision-making.
- Report to the CFO on finance matters and undertake additional tasks as delegated by the CFO or CEO.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant discipline.
- A minimum of 10 to 15 years in accounting or finance roles.
- Preferred experience includes REIT management and/or handling overseas real estate investments.
- Competency in accounting software and financial information systems.
- Strong analytical capabilities and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with AI, automation, and analytics tools utilized in finance, accounting, and financial planning and analysis functions.
- Highly detail-focused and organized.
- Leadership qualities with ability to motivate and guide a team effectively.
- Superior time management to juggle multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines.
- Proactive approach to initiating and executing process improvements.
