The Business Finance sub-division of Group Finance offers financial analysis and insights to support business performance, profitability, and decision-making within Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB). This position is part of the US CIB Business Finance team, supporting senior finance leaders through comprehensive financial analysis, reporting, and strategic insights, with exposure to various CIB products and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide financial analysis and reporting to monitor business performance and aid decision-making.
- Build and maintain financial models, metrics, and reports to track business outcomes.
- Perform both qualitative and quantitative analyses across business segments like product pricing, client profitability, and cost-benefit evaluations.
- Assist with planning, forecasting, and stress testing exercises.
- Collaborate with Finance, Product, and Business teams to handle ad hoc analysis requests and respond to business inquiries.
- Prepare data-driven insights and presentations for senior management.
- Engage with multiple CIB businesses including Credit & Capital Management, Capital Markets Advisory, Global Payments Solutions, and Global Trade Solutions.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, better data quality, and operational efficiencies.
- Support finance digital transformation projects, focusing on simplifying and automating reporting procedures.
Qualifications and Skills
- A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, mathematics, statistics, or related discipline; an MBA is advantageous.
- Prior experience in financial analysis or business finance is preferred.
- Strong analytical and quantitative capabilities with keen attention to detail.
- Interest in Corporate & Institutional Banking and its financial products.
- Proficient in financial modeling, reporting, and performance analysis.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for articulating complex information clearly.
- Ability to collaborate across multiple teams and influence stakeholders at various organizational levels.
- Advanced skills in Excel and familiarity with data analytics tools.
