About the Role
Our client is a well-established company within New Zealand's primary sector, known for its significant industry presence. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee fortnightly gross margin reporting, delivering insightful analyses that aid management and Board decisions.
- Collaborate with the Planning and Reporting Manager to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Ensure accurate, timely reporting of inventory, sales, and cost of sales information.
- Conduct financial analyses to uncover risks and opportunities, making well-informed recommendations to enhance business outcomes.
- Work closely with stakeholders on business improvement projects, including enhancements to systems, reporting processes, and business intelligence tools.
- Lead and develop the finance team by providing coaching, mentorship, and effective leadership.
Candidate Requirements
- Possession of a relevant tertiary qualification and Chartered Accountant (CA) membership.
- Proven experience in management accounting within a corporate context.
- Strong expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and partnering with business units.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including capabilities in financial modeling and analysis.
- Experience with ERP systems and using data to drive decisions; familiarity with Dynamics 365 is advantageous.
- A proactive and commercially oriented mindset that enables strong relationship building, opportunity identification, and results delivery.
