Job description
About the Role
As a Facilities Manager at FINO Brands, you will take charge of the day-to-day operations and upkeep of our buildings and facilities, reporting directly to the VP of Production and Cultivation. Your primary responsibility is to safeguard the integrity of our physical infrastructure, ensuring all spaces, equipment, and systems remain safe, operational, and tailored to business needs. The role requires an individual who is adept at resource optimization and cost reduction, with a strong emphasis on leadership and organizational efficiency. The overarching objective is to maintain a productive, secure, and well-functioning environment for all employees.
Main Duties
- Oversee and coordinate all facility installations and refurbishments, such as telecommunications and electrical systems.
- Ensure equipment and supply management meets all health and safety regulations.
- Conduct thorough inspections of building structures, identifying requirements for repairs or renovations.
- Monitor and analyze utility usage to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Supervise internal staff, including custodians, technicians, and groundskeepers, as well as manage external contractor relationships.
- Manage and oversee activities such as parking allocation, waste disposal, building security, and office space planning.
- Administer insurance policies and service contracts relevant to facilities management.
- Maintain both financial and non-financial records pertaining to facility operations.
- Perform analysis and forecasting related to facility needs and usage.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a facilities management or similar role is required.
- Comprehensive knowledge of technical and engineering operations specific to facilities management.
- Familiarity with accounting and finance principles as they relate to facility operations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational and supervisory abilities.
- Proficient analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in facility management, engineering, business administration, or a related discipline.
- Professional certifications such as CFM are considered an asset.
- Capability to pass a level 2 background screening.
- Candidates must be at least 21 years old.
