Facilities Manager

Position Overview

The Facilities Manager at EWC Growth plays an essential role in maintaining seamless operations across 52 retail centers throughout the United States. This position ensures all locations function safely, efficiently, and without interruption by managing infrastructure, facilities upkeep, renovations, and vendor collaborations.

Role Responsibilities

• Supervise preventative maintenance activities across all retail sites to maintain facility integrity.
• Handle repair requests from store management, ensuring timely completion.
• Organize and oversee repairs including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing, signage, and general facility needs.
• Establish and nurture partnerships with both local and national vendors.
• Conduct pricing negotiations and manage service agreements to optimize costs.
• Perform regular inspections of facilities to identify and address maintenance requirements.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and local safety standards in every store.
• Monitor warranty coverage and plan for equipment lifecycle management.
• Identify, evaluate, and manage contractors and maintenance providers.
• Verify accuracy of invoices and approve completed work per standards.
• Maintain vendor performance metrics and uphold agreed service levels.
• Negotiate contracts focusing on cost efficiency without impairing quality.
• Assist with new center openings, relocations, and remodeling projects.
• Coordinate installation of furniture, fixtures, equipment, and technology components.
• Manage project deadlines in collaboration with landlords, contractors, and suppliers.
• Oversee project budgets and consistently update senior leadership on progress.
• Address urgent maintenance issues swiftly to minimize store downtime.
• Prioritize maintenance requests based on operational impact.
• Develop, implement, and update preventative maintenance schedules.
• Draft standard operating procedures related to store maintenance and technical support.
• Analyze frequent maintenance problems and propose durable solutions.
• Contribute to disaster recovery strategies and emergency response plans.

Candidate Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience focusing on facilities maintenance in a multi-location environment, ideally within retail, healthcare, or hospitality sectors.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent communication and customer service proficiency.
• Outstanding organizational skills and meticulous documentation abilities.
• Experience in vendor negotiation and managing contracts.
• Adept at budget oversight and technology asset management.
• Competence in planning preventative maintenance programs.
• Familiarity with work order management systems.
• Basic understanding of building construction and facility systems.
