Role Overview

The Facilities Attendant will handle routine maintenance and upkeep of four venues across Sydney, ensuring both functionality and aesthetic standards. Duties include interior and exterior lighting maintenance, general plumbing tasks, and setting up or dismantling promotional displays. Reporting all building and system issues across the sites is a critical responsibility.

A trade certificate in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning is highly desired; experience in these areas will also be advantageous, with occasional support needed for refrigeration and HVAC systems.

Main Responsibilities

• Execute general venue maintenance, including equipment repairs and ensuring equipment tagging and testing are current.
• Manage and replenish supplies in washrooms, storage areas, and cabinets.
• Maintain clear and efficient communication with senior management, team members, clients, and external suppliers, acting as the primary onsite contact.
• Collaborate with floor staff to resolve issues promptly and with minimal disruption.
• Keep an updated task reporting system to monitor completion of maintenance activities, including scheduled weekly, monthly, and annual inspections.
• Support workplace health and safety initiatives in compliance with relevant laws and Norths’ risk management policies.
• Perform any other tasks reasonably requested within the scope of the role.

Candidate Profile

• Valid certification and license for Refrigeration and Air Conditioning work in New South Wales.
• At least two years of experience in similar facilities maintenance or general repair roles.
• Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety (OH&S/WHS) standards.
• Proven ability to develop and sustain effective relationships with key stakeholders.
• Meticulous attention to detail combined with effective problem-solving skills.
• Capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team.
