Role Overview
The Event Service Expert plays a critical role in organizing and overseeing events to deliver flawless and unforgettable experiences to guests and clients. Situated full-time onsite in Doha, the position involves managing event preparations, coordinating with clients and internal teams, and supervising food, beverage, and technical service execution based on specific event requirements. Daily responsibilities include verifying event arrangements, setting up function areas, escorting guests and planners during events, and addressing any service requests promptly. This role entails close collaboration with Sales and Event Planning departments, ensuring cleanliness and safety in event zones, and maintaining Marriott's service standards. The role demands a proactive, guest-centric mindset and dedication to enhancing event operations continuously.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Exceptional customer service aptitude with a focus on guest satisfaction and delivering high-caliber service.
- Proficiency in event planning and management, including logistics coordination and onsite event execution.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with guests and internal personnel.
- Fundamental sales capabilities to assist in generating event-related revenue through upselling.
- Previous experience in hospitality, event coordination, or banquet operations is advantageous.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts encompassing evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required by business demand.
- Excellent organizational skills, keen attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple concurrent events and responsibilities efficiently.
- Physical endurance for standing extended periods and safely managing event equipment.
- Professional appearance and demeanor aligning with Marriott brand standards.
- Proficiency in English is essential; knowledge of additional regional languages is a benefit.
