Estimator - Flooring Projects

Position Overview

Andersens Flooring & Window Furnishings seeks motivated and dedicated flooring estimators to strengthen our project team. Candidates will collaborate with various stakeholders to fulfill essential duties related to project estimation and management.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify detailed scope of work for projects.
• Prepare tenders and quotations, including handling design alterations.
• Manage project administration such as creating job sheets and estimating subcontractor costs.
• Conduct site inspections and maintain communication with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Experience in interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and relevant documentation to quantify wall and floor tiles, waterproofing, and related angles for estimation and pricing.
• Proficiency in software such as Measure Square/CAD and Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Valid driver’s license is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Ability to read and understand architectural plans.
• Basic math skills for accurate calculations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Effective time management, organizational aptitude, and problem-solving abilities.
• Attention to detail and capability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Demonstrated initiative and dedication to quality service.
• Flexibility to handle a variety of tasks and responsibilities.
