About the Role

Buildsafe is seeking an experienced Estimator to join its energetic technical team. Reporting to the Estimating Team Leader, this role works with subject-matter experts to prepare cost estimates promptly and accurately.

Key Duties

• Create precise quotations by assessing the labour, materials, and time needed for each job.
• Support purchase order processing and make sure the correct allowances and rates are used.
• Use software tools to measure safety products and scaffolding components.
• Offer informed guidance to builders, carpenters, and other clients about their safety requirements.
• Prepare reports when requested.

About You

To succeed in this role, you should be proactive, reliable, and comfortable working in a busy environment. The position calls for someone with strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently while meeting deadlines.

Required Background and Skills

• Strong knowledge of residential construction drawings and plans.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work with limited supervision.
• Good time management and task prioritisation skills.
• High attention to detail.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Suite and CRM systems.
• A trade background or estimating qualification/experience.
• Previous costing experience in scaffolding or safety solutions is beneficial, though not mandatory.
