Entry Level Desktop Engineer - Healthcare Sector

This role is within the healthcare sector, requiring a commitment of 5.5 working days per week totaling 44 hours.

The position is offered on a one-year renewable contract basis.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot issues related to desktops, laptops, and client platforms efficiently.
• Respond swiftly to incident reports, providing both temporary and permanent solutions.
• Keep relevant parties informed with timely progress updates.
• Address and resolve service requests concerning client platforms and systems.
• Oversee service levels to ensure adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Document and maintain records of system configurations and reports accurately.
• Participate in the implementation and upgrade projects for client platforms.
• Manage system alterations by following formal change request processes.
• Offer technical support and guidance to users and project teams as needed.
• Conduct research and assessments for client platform tools and related systems.
• Collect infrastructure and business requirements pertinent to implementation and ongoing support.
• Identify and execute improvement initiatives when necessary.
• Adhere to operational standards and best practice procedures.
• Perform other relevant duties as assigned.

Candidate Requirements

• Possess a NITEC, Higher NITEC, Diploma in IT, Computer Engineering, or a comparable discipline.
• Basic understanding of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office suite, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Willingness to work in a healthcare setting.
• Prior experience in desktop or IT support roles is advantageous.
• Basic proficiency in networking, hardware, and software support is beneficial.
