Editorial Production Assistant

Role Overview

The Editorial Production Assistant supports the page production process by checking copy, carrying out page design and layout tasks, and applying revisions to pages under the guidance of the Section Editors and the Editorial Systems Head.

Key Duties

• Review page content for errors and accuracy before publication.
• Carry out design and layout work for pages.
• Enter revisions and updates into pages as instructed by editorial leads.
• Work under the supervision of the Section Editors and the Editorial Systems Head.

Requirements

• Must be a college graduate, ideally with a degree in Journalism or Mass Communication.
• Should have at least 1 year of experience working as a proofreader.
• Should have at least 1 year of training in production work within a publishing company.
• Working knowledge of publishing tools such as Adobe InDesign is preferred.
• Familiarity with Pagemaker, Photoshop, or similar pagination and editing software is required.
• Should be knowledgeable in the PDI Stylebook.
• Strong proofreading and layouting abilities are expected.

This is a full-time, onsite role based in the Philippines.
