Dot Net Developer

Overview

Tata Consultancy Services, a global IT services and consulting leader with over 50 years of history partnering with major global enterprises, is seeking experienced Dot Net Developers skilled in .NET Core and Azure. This role is based in Hyderabad, with potential locations also in Chennai and Bangalore, involving onsite work.

Primary Responsibilities

• Develop scalable and high-performance web applications and backend APIs using C# and the latest .NET Core/.NET 8+ frameworks.
• Design and implement cloud-native solutions leveraging Microsoft Azure services to enhance infrastructure efficiency and application performance.
• Create serverless applications and event-driven workflows utilizing Azure Functions and Azure Logic Apps.
• Apply Microservices Architecture to break down monolithic applications into independent, distributed components.
• Establish automated deployment pipelines through CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions for continuous integration and delivery.
• Maintain centralized management of application configurations and secrets with Azure Key Vault and Azure App Configuration ensuring robust security compliance.
• Design and optimize database models and queries for relational databases like SQL Server and Azure SQL, as well as NoSQL solutions such as Cosmos DB.
• Integrate asynchronous messaging systems using Azure Service Bus or Event Hubs to support background processing needs.
• Perform code reviews focused on maintaining architectural soundness, code quality, and adherence to SOLID design principles.
• Guide and mentor junior developers by sharing best engineering practices and facilitating knowledge transfer.
• Engage actively in Agile/Scrum processes including sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives to ensure timely delivery and team collaboration.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Strong expertise in C#, ASP.NET Core, .NET Core, and Entity Framework Core frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Cloud platforms including Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Blob Storage, Service Bus, and Key Vault.
• Proficient in designing and securing RESTful APIs implementing OAuth 2.0, JWT, or Azure AD authentication.
• Deep understanding of SQL Server, T-SQL, query tuning, and database schema architecture.
• Experience with DevOps tooling such as Git, NuGet, and setting up automated CI/CD pipelines.
• Solid foundation in software design patterns, clean architecture, and SOLID principles.

Additional Competencies

• Effective problem-solving abilities capable of troubleshooting complex production issues.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, facilitating clear stakeholder interactions.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and iterative product delivery.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of containerization using Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes (AKS).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or ARM Templates.
• Understanding of modern frontend frameworks like Angular, React, or Blazor.
• Exposure to monitoring and logging platforms including Azure Monitor and Application Insights.
