About Help at Hand Support Services

Role Overview
We are seeking experienced Disability Support Workers to join our team. The role involves diverse activities ranging from accompanying participants on outings such as trips to the beach, movies, or sporting events to attending medical appointments and offering companionship at home. Each day presents an opportunity to positively impact someone's life.
Candidate Profile
- Certificate III in Disability or an equivalent qualification or experience is required.
- Experience in delivering high care support, mental health assistance, trauma-informed care, or managing behaviours of concern.
- Current Working with Children Check and valid First Aid/CPR certifications.
- Possession of a full and clean Australian driver’s license along with access to a reliable and fully insured vehicle.
- Strong communication skills, empathy, and an ability to work autonomously.
- Capability to remain composed and professional during challenging situations.
- Legal right to live and work in Australia.
- Recent police check within 6 months or an international police check where applicable.
