Job Overview

We are currently seeking a committed and detail-oriented Despatch Hand to join our Adelaide-based team permanently. This role reports directly to the Despatch Manager and is critical to ensuring the timely and accurate handling, shipping, and receipt of stock to meet the demands of our clients in Adelaide and nearby regions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Efficiently perform despatch and receipt tasks while maintaining precise recordkeeping and necessary documentation.
  • Safely load, unload, label, and manage products to avoid damage and ensure prompt delivery schedules are met.
  • Operate forklifts and related equipment responsibly, adhering to licensing requirements and safety protocols.
  • Organize delivery and collection timelines, liaise with transport carriers and customers, and handle driver documentation management.
  • Work collaboratively with both Production and Purchasing departments to confirm product availability and swiftly resolve any discrepancies.
  • Champion a workplace safety culture focused on zero injuries while keeping the workspace clean and compliant with standards.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Current LF Forklift License is mandatory.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
  • Proficient computer skills including familiarity with ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Physical capability to undertake manual labor such as lifting, bending, packing, and prolonged standing.
  • Willingness and flexibility to work overtime and Saturdays to satisfy customer requirements.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service competencies.

Additional Preferred Skills

  • Possession of a Medium Rigid (MR) driver's license is preferred but not essential.
  • Experience using hand and power tools is advantageous.
  • Knowledge or exposure to warehouse or assembly line environments is beneficial.
