Role Summary
Due to company growth, we are seeking an experienced Design Manager to oversee Dublin-based construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the site team to manage project setting out, focusing on integrating architectural and engineering details.
- Coordinate utilities and services among mechanical and electrical engineers as well as external utility providers alongside the site team.
- Work with the Project Manager and Site Manager to create and maintain the information requirements schedule, sending updates to the architect or engineer per the contract timeline, and monitoring progress to flag issues.
- Oversee the technical submittal process for all construction components, maintaining tracking systems aligned with contract schedules.
- Regularly review technical submittal statuses and communicate progress or challenges to the Project Manager.
- Maintain a procurement tracking schedule based on approved technical submittals and associated cost approvals, ensuring alignment with the contract program.
- Promptly address all contract queries, ensuring thorough and efficient documentation throughout the project.
Candidate Requirements
- A minimum of 10 years' experience in the construction industry as a Design Manager, particularly in commercial or residential sectors.
- Possession of a relevant tertiary degree in Engineering or Architecture.
- Experience working with main contractors is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail alongside excellent organizational and planning abilities.
- Capable of independently managing priorities and adhering to tight deadlines.
- Effective communication skills for collaboration with team members and clients.
