Role Overview

We are searching for a Data Science Analyst to join the Healthcare team within our Global Investment Research division. With healthcare investments exceeding $100B and spanning more than 50 Portfolio Managers, this esteemed franchise covers Biopharma, Healthcare Services, and Medical Technology sectors, supported by over 10 team members.

The selected candidate will collaborate closely with Industry Analysts and Portfolio Managers to leverage data science, artificial intelligence, and alternative data to generate unique investment insights across healthcare subsectors. Key Responsibilities

  • Integrate fully with the Healthcare team, working alongside Industry Analysts and Portfolio Managers.
  • Convert broad investment queries into defined data science projects and actionable analytical deliverables.
  • Utilize AI and agent-driven tools to optimize research processes and stimulate investment idea development.
  • Present findings clearly, noting limitations, confidence intervals, and potential interpretative risks.
  • Act as a knowledgeable data science expert for the Healthcare coverage areas.
  • Quickly familiarize with emerging companies, datasets, sectors, and business models as needed.
  • Prioritize tasks based on expected investment impact, feasibility, and potential for ongoing application.
  • Design novel signals and analytical frameworks from alternative and structured data pertinent to healthcare investing.

  • Previous collaboration with investment or research teams and senior business stakeholders.
  • Strong proficiency in Python and SQL programming languages.
  • Experience applying AI and large language model tools to enhance research workflows and generate ideas.
  • Comfort handling large and unstructured real-world datasets.
  • Demonstrated ability to source and evaluate new and emerging alternative datasets beyond established sources.
  • Expertise in assessing dataset quality, bias, representativeness, and robustness of signals.
  • Genuine investment insight and curiosity about markets, company fundamentals, and how data informs investment theses.

Compensation and Benefits

The base salary range for this role is USD 90,000 to 180,000, reflecting factors such as experience, skills, and education.
