At The Green Energy Advice Bureau (GEAB), our mission is to assist businesses in cutting costs, enhancing operational efficiency, and meeting sustainability targets by leveraging intelligent energy solutions. As we expand, we are looking to add a Data & Insight Analyst to our technical team to strengthen our data capabilities.

Role Purpose

This role involves full ownership of the design, accuracy, and insight generation from data and reporting systems across the organisation. It ensures data reliability, builds insightful reports and dashboards, and empowers the business to make data-driven decisions confidently.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and safeguard data integrity within Zoho CRM and Zoho Analytics platforms.
• Design and update SQL queries that support essential reports, dashboards, and workflows.
• Perform ongoing data validation and reconciliation, identifying and reporting discrepancies.
• Serve as the main liaison for business data needs, translating requirements into reliable reporting solutions.
• Document data definitions, logic, and relational structures for key datasets.
• Develop and sustain interactive dashboards monitoring performance metrics across sales, operations, and finance.
• Optimize SQL processes for improved reporting accuracy and efficiency.
• Conduct ad hoc analyses and provide clear, actionable insights to support strategic decision-making.
• Convert data into understandable narratives for stakeholders, emphasizing interpretation beyond raw numbers.
• Build automated workflows using Zoho-native tools such as Zoho Flow and Deluge scripting to streamline reporting tasks.
• Set up automated report refreshes and exception alerting within Zoho systems.
• Maintain integration and synchronization between Zoho CRM and Analytics platforms, resolving any inconsistencies promptly.
• Enhance reporting processes continuously to improve scalability, transparency, and effectiveness.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for all reporting and data handling procedures.
• Collaborate with finance, product, and operations to keep data practices aligned with evolving business requirements.
• Promote best practices in data governance, security, and version control across the organisation.

Core Skills and Tools

• Advanced SQL skills for data handling including extraction, transformation, and validation.
• Proficiency in Zoho CRM and Zoho Analytics or similar CRM/database systems.
• Strong Python programming and analytical capabilities.
• Meticulous attention to detail, accuracy, and process documentation.
• Effective problem-solving skills with the ability to detect patterns and anomalies.
• Excellent communication skills tailored to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Familiarity with Excel/Power Query, Jira, and Microsoft 365 applications.

Compensation and Benefits

• Competitive salary range between £40,000 and £45,000 per year.
• Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, based in Sunderland office.
