Role Overview
The Data Verification Analyst, positioned within the bill review department, is responsible for clerical functions related to medical bill processing. This fully remote role involves ensuring the accuracy of incoming data in the Bill Review system, applying customer-specific processing rules, and supporting administrative tasks such as mailing, prepping, and scanning of medical bills. The analyst will perform precise data entry and verification, keep supervisors informed about workload status, and ensure compliance with applicable policies and regulations. Success in this role requires attentiveness, effective organization, multitasking ability, and the capacity to operate independently or collaboratively while enhancing department efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Confirm accuracy of incoming data within the Bill Review system
- Apply specific customer rules to medical bills and data processing
- Maintain regular communication with supervisors on verification workload and queue status
- Assist with clerical tasks including mailing, preparing, and scanning medical bills
- Execute data entry and verification duties with precision and efficiency
- Provide additional operational and administrative support as assigned
- Identify and resolve any discrepancies or billing data issues
- Keep organized records of processed documentation
- Ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Preferred experience in a professional office setting
- Basic computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Strong skills in interpersonal communication, time management, and organization
- Ability to handle multiple priorities effectively
- Proficient problem-solving and analytical capabilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
