Data Analyst

About the Role

We are seeking a meticulous and analytically minded Data Analyst to gather, examine, and interpret complex datasets to support informed business decision-making. The right candidate will be skilled in data visualization, reporting tools, SQL programming, and advanced Excel functions, capable of detecting trends and delivering actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, cleanse, and verify data from diverse sources to maintain accuracy.
• Explore large volumes of data to uncover patterns, trends, and potential business opportunities.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports utilizing Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Compose and optimize SQL queries for efficient data extraction and analysis.
• Compile Management Information System (MIS) reports on daily, weekly, and monthly intervals.
• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics aligned with business objectives.
• Collaborate extensively with business units, operations, and management to gather and refine reporting requirements.
• Conduct rigorous data quality audits to ensure the precision and reliability of datasets.
• Deliver presentations of insights and recommendations via well-crafted reports and visualizations.
• Automate routine reporting processes to enhance efficiency and reduce manual effort.

Required Competencies

• Proficient in SQL querying and database management.
• Advanced capabilities in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, Power Query, and lookup functions like VLOOKUP or XLOOKUP.
• Hands-on experience with visualization platforms such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Solid understanding of data modeling concepts and visualization techniques.
• Familiarity with statistical methods and analytical tools.
• Strong analytical reasoning and problem-solving ability.
• Effective communication and presentation skills to convey data insights clearly.
