Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Customs Compiler to join a prominent international freight forwarding company based at Brisbane Airport. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble import declarations for Customs Broker approval and submission.
- Classify goods precisely using tariff schedules accompanied by appropriate documentation.
- Review commercial invoices, packing lists, airway bills, and bills of lading thoroughly.
- Coordinate with clients, shipping lines, airlines, and internal teams to collect necessary paperwork.
- Verify customs documents to ensure full compliance and timely submission.
- Assist Customs Brokers with inquiries related to customs and perform general administrative duties.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrated experience as a Customs Compiler or Customs Clerk in freight forwarding.
- In-depth knowledge of Australian Border Force and Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (DAFF) regulations.
- Proven skills in preparing import declarations and customs paperwork.
- Familiarity with CargoWise software is highly valued.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational capabilities.
- Effective communication skills and ability to thrive in a fast-moving work setting.
