About the Company

UmrahBookings is building a leading B2B hotel reservation platform focused on Umrah travel, offering special hotel pricing across Makkah and Madinah. With the business scaling quickly, the company is hiring an experienced Contracting Director to shape the contracting approach, grow the hotel supply base, and develop a strong team.

Role Summary

This position reports directly to the CEO and owns the hotel contracting strategy end to end. The role involves leading the Contracting Department, managing Contracting Managers and Executives, and driving strategic hotel partnerships across Saudi Arabia.

The company is seeking a commercially focused leader with deep hospitality experience, strong negotiation ability, and a track record of creating and expanding contracting operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Set the hotel contracting direction and make sure it supports overall business goals.
• Partner with the CEO on expansion priorities and supplier acquisition planning.
• Develop and run a high-performing contracting function with clear KPIs and performance standards.
• Build and maintain senior relationships with hotel owners, operators, and other key stakeholders.
• Negotiate exclusive commercial terms and competitive hotel pricing.
• Increase the hotel portfolio across Makkah, Madinah, and other important destinations.
• Manage, coach, and develop Contracting Managers and Contracting Executives.
• Run performance reviews, provide coaching, and support succession planning.
• Create streamlined contracting workflows and operating standards.
• Track market movements, competitor activity, and pricing trends.
• Review supplier performance and identify opportunities for growth.
• Prepare commercial reports and strategic recommendations for the CEO.
• Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Product, Finance, and Operations to keep contracting aligned with company objectives.
• Support smooth onboarding and integration of new hotel partners.
• Improve contracting systems and related processes on an ongoing basis.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality Management, or a similar field is required; a master's degree is preferred.
• At least 10 years of senior-level experience in hospitality, including hotel contracting and commercial leadership.
• Proven history of leading contracting teams and handling large hotel portfolios.
• Strong professional connections within Saudi Arabia's hospitality sector, especially in Makkah and Madinah.
• Ability to negotiate significant commercial agreements successfully.
• Solid leadership, strategic thinking, and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Good analytical skills and financial understanding.
• Excellent English fluency is mandatory; Arabic is an added advantage.
