The Contingent Labour Office (CLO) supports external resource engagement by providing expedited, client-focused services while balancing commercial priorities and minimizing risk.

The CLO team helps hiring managers engage external workforce resources efficiently and effectively across Canada, handling over 1000 engagements annually ranging from individuals to large organizations. This role offers a primarily virtual working arrangement with occasional in-person meetings.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert guidance and support to hiring managers during the initiation, management, renewal, and exit phases of external resource contracts across all Canadian functions and locations.
• Leverage technology to enhance CLO processes, user experience, and resource management.
• Drive operational improvements through updates to workflows, documentation, and technology adoption.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, fostering a customer-first approach as a trusted advisor.
• Conduct intake discussions with senior managers and partners to understand resource needs.
• Provide training on the vendor management system to internal users.
• Perform due diligence checks on external resources, including background, compliance, and business verifications.
• Maintain thorough records and documentation for compliance, reporting, and audit purposes.
• Identify complex cases requiring special attention and coordinate with the team accordingly.
• Address ad hoc queries related to contingent labour via email or other communication channels.
• Lead or contribute to process optimization initiatives, including developing, revising, and training others on standard operating procedures and relevant policies.
• Stay informed of contingent workforce legislation, policies, and best practices.

Candidate Profile

• 3 to 5 years’ experience in case management, preferably involving contract labour, staffing agencies, or contingent workforce.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; bilingualism with French is an asset.
• Ability to effectively engage with multiple internal and external stakeholders including senior leadership and service providers.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
• Adept at managing competing priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Demonstrated commitment to delivering timely, high-quality service and continuous improvement.
• Experience working with vendor management systems such as Flextrack or Beeline is advantageous.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow platform is a plus.
• Post-secondary education in a related discipline is required.

Additional Information

This position requires fluency in written and spoken English to collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders. The role offers an anticipated salary range of $55,000 to $82,000 annually, depending on location, skills, and qualifications, with potential eligibility for bonuses and comprehensive benefits.
