About the Role

KPMG in Canada is seeking a Contract Specialist to join the Contingent Labour Office (CLO), which partners with business units to efficiently and effectively engage external resources while balancing commercial needs and risk mitigation. The CLO manages over 1000 external resources annually ranging from individuals to large organizations, providing expert advice, streamlined processes, and proactive customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Hiring Managers by applying technical expertise to guide engagement of external workers and contractors across all Canadian locations.
  • Utilize and enhance technology systems to optimize workflows and improve user experience within the CLO.
  • Drive continuous process improvements and ensure documentation such as SOPs and knowledge articles are current and comprehensive.
  • Manage the case lifecycle including initial setup, ongoing contract management, renewals, and departures of external resources.
  • Conduct detailed due diligence including background, independence checks, and vendor verifications.
  • Maintain consistent communication with stakeholders, providing timely updates throughout case management.
  • Provide training and education to Hiring Managers on vendor management system usage and CLO policies.
  • Handle inquiries and triage requests within the CLO mailbox and collaborate with internal team members for resolution.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in case management or a related operational role.
  • Experience working with staffing firms, agencies, or contingent workforce models is advantageous.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; bilingualism including French is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with senior leaders, contractors, and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in analyzing processes and driving operational improvements.
  • Comfortable using various technologies and identifying opportunities for automation or efficiency gains.
  • Familiarity with vendor management systems such as Flextrack or Beeline is an asset.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office suite.
  • Experience with ServiceNow platform is beneficial.
  • Post-secondary education in a relevant discipline (college or university degree).

Additional Information

This is a full-time role, primarily remote with potential requirements to visit the office 1-2 times per month in Canada. English fluency is required to collaborate across teams.
