Job Overview

This Consultant role in Supply Chain and Operations is based in Mumbai, with possible locations including New Delhi and Bangalore. You will collaborate with organizations to reinvent and elevate their supply chains, emphasizing sustainable business, societal impact, and resilience in a rapidly evolving landscape.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead sourcing and procurement transformation initiatives focused on strategic cost reduction, procurement optimization, and intelligent procurement using platforms such as Kinaxis, Blue Yonder, and O9 Solutions.
• Understand clients’ business priorities and maintain strong relationships to gather requirements effectively.
• Implement automation for order processing, warehouse management, and transportation to enhance operational efficiency and minimize manual errors.
• Drive cost reduction across sourcing, procurement, logistics, and warehousing functions.
• Provide real-time visibility of supply chains to identify bottlenecks, track shipments, and respond swiftly to disruptions.
• Co-create transformation strategies with clients and lead innovation agendas.
• Establish yourself as a trusted advisor by gaining deep insights into client operations and industry best practices, particularly in digital supply chain planning and procurement.
• Build internal networks within Accenture to leverage comprehensive resources and develop distinctive assets that amplify business opportunities.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• At least 7 years relevant experience in supply chain consulting, preferably with domestic industry exposure.
• Strong background in consumer goods, life sciences, automotive, or manufacturing industries with expertise in digital supply chain solutions.
• Demonstrated success in cost optimization through technology integration to improve efficiency, visibility, and streamline supply chain operations.
• Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent postgraduate management qualification, coupled with a Bachelor’s in Engineering (B.Tech/BE).
• Proficiency in program management including budget oversight, project planning, time management, communication, decision-making, and presentation skills.
• Ability to solve complex business problems while ensuring client satisfaction.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and cross-cultural skills that enable thriving in dynamic environments.
