About the Role
We are looking for a Construction Planner to join our team in Kilkenny. This permanent full-time role involves developing, maintaining, and monitoring project schedules across a portfolio of cleanroom and controlled-environment projects. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with project managers, site teams, and other departments including design, commercial, and procurement to provide accurate scheduling information, identify risks, and support timely project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Create detailed tender, pre-construction, and construction schedules.
- Prepare baseline project timelines covering design, procurement, manufacturing, installation, and handover phases.
- Define construction methods, sequences, and realistic durations jointly with project teams.
- Keep live project schedules updated based on progress reports from site teams.
- Develop short-term and four-week look-ahead schedules.
- Track actual versus planned progress, highlighting any delays or risks.
- Perform critical-path and delay analyses as necessary.
- Support teams in developing mitigation and recovery plans.
- Ensure integration of design, procurement, and subcontractor activities into the project schedules.
Experience and Qualifications
- Prior experience in construction or project planning roles.
- Background in cleanrooms, pharmaceutical, life sciences, high-tech, data centers or specialist construction is a strong advantage.
- Preferred qualifications in construction management, engineering, project management, or related fields.
- Proficient in Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project software.
- Solid understanding of construction sequencing, design coordination, procurement, commissioning, and handover processes.
