Join a dynamic manufacturing team at Unipart Logistics in Honeybourne, Evesham, producing premium precast concrete panels used for constructing secure prison walls. This role offers a consistent, ongoing opportunity within a busy setting.

Work Details

• Compensation: £17.00 per hour
• Overtime paid at £25.50 on Saturdays
• Work schedule: Monday to Thursday from 7:00 to 16:00 and Friday 7:00 to 12:00
• Location: Shinehill Lane, South Littleton, Evesham WR11 8TS
• Employment duration: Continuous engagement with no fixed end date

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare moulds for concrete casting operations
• Pour, level, and finish concrete accurately
• Install reinforcement materials and other components within moulds
• Remove moulds and safely extract finished concrete units
• Perform quality inspections ensuring compliance with specifications
• Utilize hand and power tools correctly and safely
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the work environment
• Adhere strictly to health and safety protocols and site rules
• Collaborate efficiently with team members to meet daily production targets

Required Skills and Experience

• Concrete handling or manufacturing/production background
• Capability to interpret technical drawings and follow instructions precisely
• Experience with concrete mixing, pouring, casting, and finishing methods
• Competence in preparing, assembling, and stripping moulds or formwork
• Safe usage of hand and power tools
• Strong focus on detail to uphold product quality standards
• Physical ability to perform manual handling tasks and manage demanding labor
• Numeracy skills for accurate material measurement and dimension checks
• Effective teamwork and reliability with punctuality and strong work ethic

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous work in precast concrete manufacturing
• Familiarity with operating overhead cranes (with certification)
• Valid Forklift Truck (FLT) license
• Knowledge of reinforcement placement techniques such as rebar, mesh, or cages
• Ability to perform minor maintenance on moulds and equipment
• Understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement processes
• Basic computer skills for recording production or quality control data
