Location Overview
Located on the east coast of Mauritius by a pristine lagoon, this secluded resort envelops guests in lush greenery and spectacular views. The property features 90 one-bedroom villas, a Presidential Suite, and 45 spacious residential villas, each with private gardens and pools. Guests enjoy water sports, championship golf courses designed by Ernie Els and Bernhard Langer, an award-winning spa, several dining options, tennis courts, and a fitness center.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide guests with insightful information about the island, including major attractions, dining, nightlife, and cultural events.
- Arrange services such as car rentals, airline and train tickets, office assistance, event bookings, beauty and babysitting services, gift shopping and delivery, repairs, and restaurant reservations.
- Respond promptly and effectively to all guest requests.
- Inform guests about hotel facilities and services thoroughly.
- Be prepared and trained to manage emergencies as they arise.
- Collaborate efficiently with Front Desk staff, offering assistance when required.
- Support the Concierge Manager in maintaining and updating a comprehensive database containing relevant tourist, dining, entertainment, and shopping information for guest reference.
- Work alongside Front Office to manage groups, VIPs, and returning guests, ensuring personalized service and awareness of guest preferences.
- Stay knowledgeable about local entertainment options such as theaters, exhibitions, concerts, sports, and tours, establishing contacts to facilitate bookings and ticketing.
- Regularly update information about new attractions and dining menus around the city.
- Coordinate closely with airport teams to ensure smooth guest arrivals and departures and assist with car allocations in collaboration with airport executives.
Special Requirements
- Fluency in written, spoken, and reading English and French; proficiency in a third language is advantageous.
- One to two years of experience in Front Office within a hotel or resort setting.
- Friendly, outgoing, and customer-service focused personality.
- Strong knowledge of the island and city attractions.
Compliance and Policies
The role requires adherence to grooming standards, confidentiality, anti-harassment policies, electronic systems usage guidelines, and a strict code of business ethics. Employees must acknowledge relevant company manuals covering Four Seasons cultural standards, concierge core standards, guest service procedures, coordination protocols, and operational policies related to guest arrivals/departures, service rates, problem resolution, mail handling, and third-party transactions.
