Role Overview
This fixed-term full-time position for five months offers a salary of $99,526 per annum plus superannuation. The Communications Advisor role is situated within the Strategic Communications team and supports quality communication services across the organization. The goal is to connect the community effectively with Council’s programs, services, and initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute communications plans, campaigns, and activities that reinforce Council's projects, programs, services, and strategic priorities.
- Oversee communications projects from initial briefing through to evaluation phases, ensuring timely delivery aligned with stakeholder objectives.
- Offer strategic communications advice relating to channels, messaging, and methodologies.
- Create engaging, clear, and audience-focused content spanning digital, social media, web, internal messaging, publications, and stakeholder communications.
- Coordinate integrated communications efforts across diverse platforms for consistent and impactful delivery.
- Develop and maintain productive relationships with stakeholders, serving as a communications partner for assigned portfolios and projects.
- Guide stakeholders through communications governance, processes, and service standards.
- Assess communications activities, providing insights and suggestions for ongoing enhancement.
- Identify potential communication and reputational risks, assisting in issues management when necessary.
- Contribute to improvements in communication systems, templates, processes, and overall service delivery.

Qualifications and Requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or significant proven experience in communications, public relations, marketing, or related disciplines.
- Possession of a valid driver's license.
