About the Role
Join a global team of over 11,000 professionals across more than 60 countries, collaborating and innovating together. This role as a Commissioning Specialist is embedded within the Global Service Line Management Team, focusing specifically on Sample, Preparation and Analysis (SPA-M) projects. You will work closely with the SPA-M Project Engineering Team to implement and commission cutting-edge automated laboratory and sampling systems, and online analysis solutions. As the on-site technical lead, you are responsible for ensuring installations and commissioning activities meet safety standards, project goals, and exceed client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare for projects offsite including development of inspection and test plans and detailed check sheets.
- Document site installation and commissioning plans.
- Ensure necessary commissioning spare parts and installation tools are robust and available.
- Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests to verify system readiness.
- Serve as technical lead coordinating the installation and commissioning phases for global projects.
- Support team skill development through hands-on coaching during project execution.
- Train customers on system operation and maintenance procedures.
- Provide expert post-installation support via service teams.
- Collaborate closely with customers, partners, vendors, and manufacturers.
- Champion a culture of safety for yourself, your team, and all impacted by company operations.
Candidate Profile
- Qualifications in Electrical or Mechatronics engineering with minimum 5 years experience including at least 2 years focused on SPA-M equipment as a technician or commissioning team member.
- Native English proficiency; additional fluency in languages such as Spanish, Portuguese, German, Russian, or French is advantageous.
- Proven ability to function effectively within multi-disciplinary teams.
- Skilled at managing multiple simultaneous projects, particularly in preparation activities.
- Experience working in international environments is essential.
- Open to learning and committed to ongoing job-specific trainings including software, project management, and sampling techniques.
- Strong practical knowledge of SPA-M systems with demonstrated capability to install and commission these technologies.
