Job Overview

This role involves preparation of ingredients for cooking, including tasks such as portioning, chopping, washing, peeling fresh produce, and measuring ingredients accurately. You will prepare and cook dishes following standardized recipes and ensure food quality and presentation meet company standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients by portioning, chopping, washing, and peeling fruits and vegetables.
• Weigh, measure, and combine ingredients as per recipe requirements.
• Cook food using ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers.
• Evaluate if food is cooked properly and monitor food quality continuously.
• Prepare cold food items and serve dishes in correct portions and appropriate containers.
• Set up and dismantle work stations, maintain sanitation by washing and disinfecting kitchen surfaces, tools, and equipment.
• Verify correct temperatures of appliances and food items to ensure safety and quality.
• Adhere strictly to all company safety, security policies, and procedures; report any hazards or incidents promptly.
• Maintain a clean and professional appearance and protect proprietary information and company assets.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with team members and foster positive work relationships.
• Support team objectives and respond appropriately to coworkers' concerns.
• Comply with quality standards and be physically capable of performing duties involving standing, bending, lifting up to 25 pounds, and other motions throughout entire shifts.
• Perform any additional tasks assigned by supervisors.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum educational qualification: High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
• At least one year of experience in a related food preparation role.
• No prior supervisory experience required.
• No certifications or licenses needed for this position.
