Cloud Consulting Architect

Overview

Red Hat is seeking a Senior Cloud Architect to join their Consulting team based in Qatar. This role involves acting as a subject-matter expert in Red Hat's infrastructure and cloud technologies, guiding clients on best practices covering automation, reliability, scalability, maintainability, high availability, and failover configurations. The candidate will lead on-site implementation and delivery of Red Hat solutions tailored to customer environments, helping organizations achieve freedom, flexibility, and high performance through Red Hat technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Build trust with prospective clients by successfully conducting discovery, analysis, and architecture design workshops aligned to Red Hat solutions.
• Design and scope delivery projects and guide consulting teams during customer pilot and production rollouts.
• Create and provide content to support sales, consulting, and support teams in scaling Red Hat solution adoption.
• Collaborate closely with product business, engineering, sales, and support units to provide customers with exceptional experiences.
• Contribute to developing repeatable methodologies and tools aimed at scaling Red Hat’s services and reducing delivery risks.
• Establish thought leadership by producing white papers, hosting webinars, and presenting at industry conferences.

Qualifications and Skills

• Solid experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux including command line and network configuration.
• Hands-on expertise with containers, container management and debugging tools, including Quay.
• Proficiency in package management via CLI and Red Hat Satellite.
• In-depth knowledge of Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform, prerequisite for OpenStack deployment.
• Strong architecture skills focused on data center infrastructure such as networking, compute, and storage.
• Experience with compute hardware management including Lights-Out Management (IPMI, Redfish), UEFI/BIOS, and server hardware.
• Understanding of networking concepts including Software Defined Networking (SDN), Layer 2-4 protocols, and Open Virtual Switch (OVS).
• Expertise in Software Defined Storage (Ceph), SAN, and NAS technologies.
• Familiarity with Ansible for automation, including writing playbooks and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of authentication and authorization frameworks like Red Hat IDM and Active Directory.
• Experience designing network and data center architectures and performing scoping and discovery sessions.
