Clinical Application Specialist

About the Role

This position is ideal for a healthcare professional with a solid academic grounding in Cardiovascular Technology and practical experience in a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab). The role involves leveraging clinical expertise and procedural knowledge to educate and support physicians and healthcare teams in utilizing advanced cardiovascular devices and technologies effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive clinical support and training to physicians and Cath Lab staff on interventional cardiology technologies and procedures.
• Facilitate physician education, clinical application training, live case assistance, and deliver scientific presentations to healthcare professionals.
• Collaborate closely with interventional cardiologists, sales, marketing, and various cross-functional teams to ensure optimal technology adoption and clinical application.
• Engage key opinion leaders (KOLs) and contribute to clinical data collection and documentation related to product use and outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with quality and regulatory standards in clinical operations and product demonstrations.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Cardiac Catheterization Technology, Cardiac Care Technology, or a closely related allied health science focusing on cardiovascular specialties.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience in a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory, especially in interventional cardiology procedures.
• Thorough knowledge of coronary anatomy, cardiovascular physiology, hemodynamics, and cardiac catheterization processes.
• Expertise in percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), coronary imaging, physiological assessments, and advanced interventional techniques.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and clinical training capabilities aimed at physician engagement and education.
• Ability to operate effectively with clinical teams and cross-functional collaborators.

Preferred Experience

• Direct clinical involvement supporting interventional cardiology procedures in busy Cath Labs or within cardiovascular medical device firms.
• Familiarity with advanced cardiovascular tools such as IVUS, FFR/iFR, OCT, laser atherectomy (ELCA), coronary imaging, hemodynamic assessment, and structural heart interventions.
• Proven track record in delivering effective physician education, live support during procedures, and scientific dissemination.
