Role Summary

This full-time role based in Dubai requires the Civil Inspector to oversee daily inspections ensuring civil construction work complies with project specifications, drawings, standards, and safety norms. Core duties involve monitoring quality control activities across earthworks, concrete, asphalt, and structural components; evaluating contractor method statements and inspection documentation; and reporting non-conformities with corrective recommendations. The inspector will collaborate closely with management, contractors, and consultants to address technical issues and will contribute to progress reporting and adherence to schedules. Maintaining precise records, participating in safety and progress meetings, and assisting in final inspections and handovers are also key responsibilities.

Qualifications and Skills

• Strong expertise in conducting site inspections, with ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and standards.
• Experience in quality control to ensure compliance of materials and workmanship with project and code requirements.
• Comprehensive knowledge of asphalt pavement construction, testing, and related quality protocols.
• Proficiency in construction management involving stakeholder coordination and support for scheduling and monitoring.
• Diploma or bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field is mandatory.
• Practical experience as a civil inspector on infrastructure, industrial, or oil and gas projects, ideally within the Middle East region.
• Understanding of international and local civil construction standards, as well as health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English for report preparation and documentation.
• Competence in engineering and office software including AutoCAD (for drawings) and MS Office suite.
