About the Organisation

Position Overview
We are seeking a Care Worker to join our Abby Lodge service in Ballinamore, County Leitrim. This permanent full-time role (39 hours per week) involves delivering personal care and support to individuals with intellectual disabilities and mental health challenges within a high-support residential setting. The role emphasizes dignity, respect, inclusion, and community living, alongside a positive behavioural support approach aimed at people with challenging behaviours.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate effectively within a team to cultivate a nurturing and supportive environment for service users.
- Deliver person-centred services tailored to the individual needs, preferences, and requirements of those supported.
- Ensure all interactions uphold dignity, respect, equality, and offer choices to service users.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Possession of a minimum QQI Level 5 qualification in Social Care or an equivalent certification.
- Capability to work collaboratively in teams and provide person-centred care.
- Commitment to maintaining the confidentiality and privacy of service users at all times.
- Must hold a full clean driver's license.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range is from 31,561.64 at point 1 to 43,730.75 at point 11 (pro rata), negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
