Business Analyst

Overview

IQVIA is recruiting a Business Analyst with 2 to 8 years of experience, focused on enterprise Health Information Systems (HIS) and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) platforms. The role is hybrid based in Bengaluru, Pune, or Gurgaon, requiring onsite presence to collaborate with clinical and administrative stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead sessions to gather requirements from clinicians, nurses, administrators, finance teams, and operations staff.
• Analyze and redesign workflows for effective HIS/EMR adoption.
• Conduct gap analyses comparing current business operations to system capabilities.
• Translate business needs into functional specifications, user stories, process diagrams, and documentation supporting solution design.
• Maintain traceability of requirements through all project phases including design, development, testing, and deployment.
• Map healthcare workflows including patient registration, scheduling, admissions, discharge, clinical documentation, order processing, medication administration, billing, claims processing, and diagnostics.
• Recommend enhancements to processes to boost efficiency, compliance, patient safety, and user experience.
• Engage directly with users to validate clinical and administrative workflow accuracy.
• Serve as a key liaison among users, project teams, IT departments, and vendors.
• Organize workshops, design meetings, and validation sessions.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and obtain approvals on requirements and process changes.
• Support routine and executive reporting with insightful analysis and progress updates.

Experience and Skills Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare, Nursing, Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Health Informatics, Business, Information Systems, or related fields.
• Eight to ten years’ business analysis experience with a minimum of four to five years within healthcare IT, specifically HIS or EMR implementations.
• Demonstrated expertise in analyzing hospital and healthcare workflows.
• Deep understanding of clinical and operational healthcare functions.
• Strong skills in requirement elicitation, business analysis techniques, and documentation including process mapping, BRD, FRD, use cases, and workflow documentation.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and facilitation abilities.
• Experience planning User Acceptance Testing (UAT), tracking defects, and validating solutions.
• Knowledge of interoperability standards, reporting, and data migration desirable.
• Proficiency with Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, JIRA, and Confluence.

Preferred Additional Skills

• Experience in healthcare or pharmaceutical industries is advantageous.

Education

Degrees such as BTech, BCA, BSc, MTech, MCA, or MS are preferred.
